Don (KR): Good morning, everyone. We’re here today with Kirbey Hook, the owner of Kodiak’s Firearm Training, a prominent name in firearm education and self-defense training here in Kenosha. Kirbey, thank you for joining us.
Kirbey Hook (KH): Thank you for having me. It’s great to be here.
KR: To start off, could you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what inspired you to establish Kodiak’s Firearm Training?
KH: Absolutely. Well, I’ve always been passionate about personal safety and empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to protect themselves and their loved ones. I’m a Navy Vet, which naturally led me to start Kodiak’s Firearm Training. I wanted to create a space where people could learn proper firearm handling, self-defense techniques, and the importance of responsible gun ownership.
KR: That’s a noble mission. Can you tell us more about the specific training programs you offer at Kodiak’s Firearm Training?
KH: Certainly. At Kodiak’s, we offer a range of courses tailored to different experience levels. From beginners who are new to firearms to advanced shooters looking to enhance their skills, we cover it all. Our concealed carry classes are particularly popular, providing individuals with the necessary training to obtain a concealed carry permit in Wisconsin. We also cover firearm safety, legal aspects, and self-defense strategies in various scenarios.
KR: That’s comprehensive. How can interested individuals find out more about the classes you offer and stay updated on upcoming training sessions?
KR: We keep our website, concealedcarrykenosha.com, updated with the latest class schedules, course details, and registration information. Anyone looking to explore our courses can reach out to us there all the information they need there.
Don: Great. And are there any community engagement opportunities for those who join your training programs?
KR: Absolutely. We believe in building a strong community of individuals who share a commitment to self-improvement and personal safety. That’s why we’ve created the Kodiak’s Elite Training Group on Facebook. It’s a space where participants can connect, share experiences, and engage in discussions related to self-defense, firearm safety, and personal growth. You can find the group at www.facebook.com/groups/kodiakselitetraining/.
KR: That sounds like a fantastic way to foster learning and connection. Before we wrap up, is there anything else you’d like our readers to know?
KH: I’d just like to emphasize the importance of responsible firearm ownership and ongoing training. Education is key, and our goal at Kodiak’s is to equip individuals with the skills they need to handle firearms safely and confidently. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced shooter, there’s always something new to learn.
KR: Thank you so much, Kirbey, for sharing your insights and information about Kodiak’s Firearm Training. We appreciate your time.
KH: Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure.
KR: And to our readers, don’t forget to check out the latest classes at concealedcarrykenosha.com and join the Kodiak’s Elite Training Group on Facebook for community discussions and updates. This is Don with Kenosha Review, signing off.
